KGLRC participates in #GivingTuesday fundraiser

Black Friday. Cyber Monday… After two days of shopping, a day to give back. December 2nd is #GivingTuesday.

Donations accepted beginning Tuesday, December 2 at 12:01 a.m. at http://givingtuesday.razoo.com/story/givingtuesday-for-the-kglrc

In the week following Thanksgiving, Americans will spend millions of dollars in the shopping frenzies around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. #GivingTuesday is a day to remind us all that giving means much more than the exchange of material goods—it means volunteering at a local shelter, helping out a friend in need, and, of course, donating to worthy causes, like supporting the equality-minded work of the KGLRC.

In 2013, #GivingTuesday raised more than $1.1 million dollars, and the average online gift in 2013 was $140.05.

The KGLRC can also win monetary prizes through the Razoo Foundation for the Top Fundraiser (number of donors) and Top Nonprofit Organization (amount raised). There are also hourly prizes and other ways to help increase our fundraising efforts.

PayPal is making a 1% match to all #GivingTuesday donations made with PayPal, so if you can, please support them, which helps support us!
