A social support group for transgender people and their friends, families, and allies.
Meetings are held in the conference room of CARES at 629 Pioneer Street in Kalamazoo on:
2nd Wednesdays of each month @ 6:30p & 4th Sundays of each month @ 4:30pm
History
Trans•cend began as the Kalamazoo Transgender Peer Support Group in March 2003. Since then, the group has served more than 200 individuals and continues to grow.
Philosophy
Trans•cend is a social support group for adults aged 21 and older. The group is designed to provide a network of friendship and camaraderie for transgender identified people and their friends, families, and allies. We seek to help people to understand themselves and others by providing them with a variety of resources and an outlet for safe gender expression.
