Network for
Straight Spouses
(Formerly
Straight Spouse Support Network) SSN is an international support network
of heterosexual spouses and partners, current or former, of gay, lesbian,
bisexual, and transgender mates. Members provide confidential personal
support and resource information to spouses and partners nationwide and
abroad. SSN is the only support network of its kind in the world. As outreach,
the network offers information about spouse and family issues, mixed orientation
marriages and spouse resources to professionals, community organizations

- The Resource Center Community Space and Drop-In Center provides
support to the LGBT community and offers space for clubs, meetings,
counseling services, etc.
- James B. Knox Resource Library contains
resources on LGBT history, biography, "coming out"stories, health issues
and research information for members of the Resource Center and other
LGBT organizations. Researchers and others may use the library by request.
- Educational Outreach offers LGBT Speakers panels for area schools,
organizations, churches, and places of business.
- Virtual Resource Center web site www.kglrc.org
provides on-line access to information about LGBT events, issues and
happenings in southwest Michigan.
- Resource Center News is a quarterly newspaper of activities,
views and political events of interest to the LGBT community and our
allies. Advertising is available at very reasonable rates, giving your
business or service great exposure! If you have news or like to write,
send us an email and tell us.
Deadlines are the third Friday of February,
May, August and November for ad requests and stories.
- Resource Center Youth Group provides weekly support for youths
age 13-21 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, or who are questioning
their sexual orientation.
- Political Activism and Advocacy provides the LGBT community
with an opportunity to voice their concerns and issues through participation
on the KGLRC committee, Pride Event Sponsorships, Town Hall/Community
Forums, Action Alerts, and Consultation & (sexual diversity) Training
with Employee Groups.
